Leeay Aikawa (b. Japan) is an interdisciplinary artist based in T'karonto/ Toronto.
In her practice, she is concerned with the innate role of artmaking, i.e., its cathartic process to (un)involve with time and surrender to the moments of Divine, wherein the various contemporary divides subside. Using mythic imagination, play, and reinterpretation of archetypal symbols, she bridges body/mind with land (here) and seasons (time).
